
I read a couple of the lower rated reviews and really don't agree. The Gazelle is an excellent workout. I would NOT say it is for beginners. It definitely is not. I used to run 45 minutes a day everyday without stopping in hot sun, rain or snow. I dislocated my knee so I do not run anymore. This is why I bought the Gazelle b/c I knew it would be low impact and perfect for me.
Depending on how you work it, it can feel like a stroll, a brisk walk, a jog, or even a full paced run.
I break a sweat within ten minutes. If you are not breaking a sweat or think this is for beginners then you are not working it.
I also used to spin, but it does nothing for me anymore. I can ride the stationary bike at 25 mph non stop for 30-45 minutes and not even get winded anymore.
When I ride the Gazelle I put on some music (Timberlake, Gorillaz, TI, U2, etc...) and I ride to the beat of the music. With each song my pace either increases or decreases and before you know it I am sweating like I was caught in the rain. I do it everday it's so much fun. I love it. But I think what people need to realize is that your body WILL adjust to your exercise equipment and you will need to move on to something else.
I ONLY gave this four stars instead of five b/c we could never get the gages to work to measure distance and so on, but other than that my arms are toned and my thighs are getting there as well. My clothes are fitting much looser now too. Get more detail about Gazelle Edge.
