I bought my Gazelle at the end of October and had lost 4 lbs by Thanksgiving. Fell off the exercising wagon after a trip to Tokyo, but am now back to at least an hour a day on the Gazelle and my clothes started fitting better after just a week. It's a great machine that gives you real results if you put in the effort. You do need to set your pace above a leisurely walk - I suspect the people complaining about the lack of "burn" just didn't exert themselves. My only complaint is that you can't set the resistance, but I get around this by moving faster. Plus -- it's a machine you'll actually use, and not for hanging your clothes on at the end of the day. I'm out the door for work by 8:00 and not home until 7:00 p.m., so I really like the fact that I can hop on and work out while watching TV at night before bed, or in half hour increments before and after work. I consider this a realistic exercise regime - you'll feel good without feeling beat after a workout, you can just hop on and go anytime you have a free minute, and you can do it in the privacy of your own home on a machine that takes up remarkably little space.
