I just got the Gazelle edge as a way to work out when the weather isn't agreeable. It is easy to put together, sturdy, and fun to use. I don't have a problem getting a good workout, but I stay on it for 35 min. at a time. The best part about the gazelle is that it folds down flat and slides under the bed and out of the way. I bought the product because it claims to be a low-impact alternative that produces results. The only result it produced was nearly throwing my husband on the floor as he struggled to keep balance and the biggest impact was to my wallet.

I do like this machine. Before anyone gets excited though, let me inform everyone that I have barely used it. This is actually a good tip for anyone who is wondering about certain fitness equipment. I went to Sears and tried the display model. After a few moments I could feel the burn. It is not the same as regular walking or running, but this is probably a good thing. That means it doesn't cause as much stress to your joints as running does. I found that it was very easy to use. I will admit that my fiancee said he could not do it. As for the squeaks I see complaints about, I haven't had many, but have used a little lube on it when it happens and then it goes away. I really appreaciate that FitnessQuest has made this so affordable, since some of us can't afford the money or time for a fancy gym membership! The gazelle is an easy and fun way to get exercise (especially if you live somewhere where its snowing, freezing, or raining 6 months a year like me). Plus, if you get into your favorite TV show (mine is Alias) you won't even notice the time going by and next thing you know you've been on it 45 minutes! I wouldn't recommend starting out that long though, the first month or so 20 minutes made me sore... but you do get built up to it. Buy one, you will not regret it and you will feel better!
